Lene Dahl Siggaard

I have been very fortunate to have collaborated with some very capable and dedicated colleagues during my initial years in clinical research. In my experience great results do not only come from hard work but equally from the support and encouragement of engaged colleagues and a great team.

My previous research includes analyses of ePRO-data applicability as a measuring tool for symptom relief in children with otitis media undergoing tympanostomy tube insertion and ENT specialist guideline adherence.

Currently I am pursuing my PhD in which I manage a big randomized clinical trial in The North Denmark Region called InHEAR, short for Innovation of Hearing Rehabilitation and Effects of Reform.

The InHEAR-project is sponsored by The Danish Health and Medicines Authority and The North Denmark Region and aims to investigate patient safety and patient experienced treatment quality and satisfaction of a new digital and remote ENT specialist assessment routine in 751 hearing-impaired adults. Depending on the results, national implementation of remote ENT specialist assessments in hearing-impaired individuals may be a reality in the foreseeable future. Thus, InHEAR has the potential to completely restructure and revolutionize the ENT assessment process in Danish hearing healthcare.
