As a Postdoctoral Researcher and Paediatric Orthopaedic Surgeon, I investigate the biomechanical and physiological potential of guided growth for correcting rotational deformities. While this technique is well-established for angular deformities, its application for rotation remains experimental.
My research focuses on evaluating the feasibility of this concept as a potential future alternative to invasive osteotomies. I have extensive experience in pre-clinical animal studies, currently utilizing a porcine model to test various surgical methods and implant configurations. My objective is to rigorously investigate the safety, limitations, and biological effects of rotational guided growth to determine its viability for clinical useAhmed Halloum
