My primary research topic has been middle ear physiology with a focus on pressure regulation of the middle ear. These aspects also link to an interest in projects on clinical otology including cholesteatoma and MRI of the middle ear. Moreover, I have participated in research on tongue controlled assistive devices for paraplegic people, and most recently I have been involved in a larger multi-center audiological study on Better Hearing Rehabilitation (BEAR). I am currently involved as main supervisor in three PhD studies.
