Prevalence of eating disorder symptomatology among outpatients referred to health promotion from somatic hospital departments

All patients who were referred to the lifestyle course at the Department of Health Promotion, Aalborg University Hospital, and met the inclusion criteria, were invited to participate in the study. Patients were consecutively included, and the data were collected between September 2022 and March 2023. The study was done in collaboration with the Unit for Psychiatric Research, Aalborg University Hospital.

The study was conducted as a cross-sectional study based on patient-reported questionnaires and additional data from medical records.

The study aimed to investigate the prevalence of eating disorders among outpatients following the lifestyle course. With this study we hope to create attention on eating disorders in the somatic field and to improve our own practice and collaboration within the hospital to improve screening and treatment of eating disorders.

The study will be published in a scientific paper and uploaded to this page when availabe. The study is currently in peer review.
