The Medical Library is a reference library of health science. We provide our service to all staff at the hospitals in the North Denmark Region, general practitioners and students of medicine as well as health science & technology.
We provide access to a wide selection of information databases, electronic as well as printed journals and books, and workstations are available for our patrons.

Electronic Journals and Databases

Our electronic journals, books and databases are accessible through DEFFNet. We currently provide access to more than 6,500 electronic journals as well as several databases such as PubMed MEDLINE, EMBASE, CINAHL and Web of Science. These resources may be accessed from home using a remote login granted by our staff. A few databases are only accessible using the local network at the hospitals, e.g. UpToDate.

Book a Librarian

A list of databases is available on our website, and we offer to conduct specific searches for our patrons. Furthermore it is possible to book a librarian to do a search in collaboration with you. We offer this service in all areas, whether it is for clinical work, research, or training.

Education and Training

The Medical Library continuously offers courses in information retrieval, reference management tools, and research evaluation. Furthermore, we will be pleased to put together a course specifically tailored to your needs.
