Hans-Christen Husum

I am a researcher in the field of pediatric orthopaedics and radiology, focusing on screening for skeletal dysplasias, AI image diagnostics, Reliability analysis and radiological examination methods and teaching using Virtual- and Augmented reality.

My research spans from “traditional” clinical studies to testing and evaluating novel technologies in both diagnostics and teaching.

I successfully defended my PhD thesis, made here at Interdiscplinary Orthopaedics, in the summer of 2023. It revolved around screening for developmental dysplasia of the hip in children. The work is still ongoing and we’re now in the rare but fortunate position where we are trying to implement the results into clinical practice.
