Lili Worre Høpfner Jensen

Since 2010, I have worked at the Department of Orthopaedic Surgery, Aalborg University Hospital as a nurse and with several positions related to development and teaching. In 2019 I finished my master’s degree in Clinical Science & Technology at Aalborg University. This provided new insights into the amazing potentials of using technology in healthcare.

For as long as I can remember, patient communication has been a recurring interest for me, as it is a crucial aspect of all treatment and care. At the same time, it is often the cause of adverse events and patient complaints, especially in transition of care across sectors.

My PhD focuses on digital communication between patients and healthcare professionals across sectors following orthopedic surgery and discharge. We test and evaluate a simple messenger-like tool to support easy and direct communication in secure closed groups around the individual patient.
