Forskningsområder
Stroke forskning på Aalborg Universitetshospital bygger på et unikt enstrenget forløb med akut indlæggelse af alle stroke-patienter fra Region Nordjylland. Forskningen fokuserer på patientnær, primært klinisk forskning, med deltagelse i nationale og internationale multicenterstudier, som dækker det præhospitale forløb (visitation og behandling), den akutte behandling (cerebral iskæmi og hæmoragi) og sekundærprofylaksen. Forskergruppe er stødt voksende med et stigende antal forskningssemesterstuderende, flere Ph.D.-projekter og etablering af en post-docstilling.
