Participation at the FS32 National Nursing Conference 2025

Last week, our research nurses, Tina Lyngholm Jensen and Pernille Damborg Clasen, attended the FS32 National Nursing Conference 2025, where the theme was "When Hospital Treatment Becomes Home Treatment."
Both presented their research projects through posters.

🔹 Tina's master's project explores what motivates orthopedic surgical patients to participate in research projects. This qualitative study examines patient experiences, providing crucial insights into how care and treatment can be optimized. The project also enhances the understanding of factors that can support research nurses in motivating and retaining patients in future studies.

🔹 Pernille's research project focuses on digital monitoring of orthopedic surgical patients undergoing femoral lengthening or correction. The monitoring includes:
✔ A chat-based communication platform (LetDialog), allowing direct contact between patients and their healthcare team.
✔ A sensor (Sens Motion) that tracks daily activity.
✔ An app (OrtoApp) where patients log their pain levels and medication intake, enabling both patients and healthcare providers to monitor the rehabilitation process.

The aim of this study is to gather essential knowledge about home monitoring through data collection and qualitative interviews, incorporating patient experiences. The goal is to create a more cohesive treatment pathway and enhance patient “sense of safety” after discharge.
