"The risk of refracture and malunion in children treated for diaphyseal forearm fractures: a retrospective cohort study"

🔍 Our study compares the relative risk of refracture and malunion among nonoperative treatment, closed reduction, and surgical fixation with flexible intramedullary nailing (FIN) in pediatric diaphyseal forearm fractures in 837 patients.

💡 Key finding:
Nonoperative and closed reduction treatments had higher relative risks of refracture and malunion compared to FIN.
