InnoExplorer grant for project DeepBone

Associate Professor Ming Shen from Institut for Elektroniske Systemer, AAU, last week received an InnoExplorer Grant from Innovation Fund Denmark for the project DeepBone - A unique project solving a critical health problem by utilizing artificial intelligence.

The unique project team includes M.D.'s Søren Kold, Ole Rahbek and Arash Ghaffari from the Department of Orthopaedics at Aalborg Universitetshospital, and lastly, Research Assistant Sowmya Annadatha from the Department of Electronic Systems.

 

The technology behind DeepBone combines the latest technology advancements within deep learning through artificial intelligence and thermography, which will empower orthopaedic patients to monitor their surgical sites for infection at home.
