Children’s Orthopedics and Limb Reconstruction
Knud Stenild Christensen was one of the pioneers in the 1980´s who went to the deep parts of Russia to bring back knowledge and frames from Dr Ilizarov. This revolutionized the correction of limb deformities in adults and children in Denmark. Since then Aalborg has been one of the leading international centers in limb reconstruction.
Current professors are Søren Kold and Ole Rahbek. We are dedicated to an innovative approach in medical devices in collaboration with our partners. Our goal is to identify predictors for patient safety through continuous homebased monitoring of the treatment.
