What is the association between MRI and conventional radiography in measuring femoral head migration?

In this study we proposed the cartilaginous migration percentage as a new MRI imaging measurement to be used in the diagnostics of residual acetabular dysplasia and compared it to the traditional osseous migration percentage in both MRI and pelvic radiographs. We found the CMP to be of good reliability and, interestingly, that pelvic radiographs tended to underestimate the osseous migration percentage when compared to MRIs.
