Anatomic total shoulder arthroplasty using hybrid glenoid fixation. Two to ten years follow-up of 256 cases
In this study we investigated the treatment of end-stage glenohumeral osteoathritis with an anatomic total shoulder arthroplasty with hybrid glenoid fixation for clinical outcomes, postoperatives radiolucent lines, revisions and reoperations and the 10-year survival estimate.
WOOS-index, Constant-Murley score and EQ-5D-5L was used to determine patients clinical outcomes. Nine cases had radiolucent lines on the glenoid component at follow-up, none of those cases suffered reoperations. 8,2 % had complications related to surgery. 2,3 % had been revised, three due to aseptic loosening of the glenoid. The 10-year survival estimate was 95,6 %.
The anatomic total shoulder arthroplasty with hybrid glenoid fixation had excellent clinical outcomes, alow complication and revision rate and a high 10-year survival rate.
